In the springtime we chemically treat our lawns to rid ourselves of "weeds", which most often means dandelions. However, dandelions are some of the most important plants for juvenile honeybees! The copious and nutritious nectar is one of the first things bees eat after coming out of hibernation.

We can contribute to the revival of the bee population by simply allowing our lawns to thrive with dandelions.

Put this piece on your desk at work or on your coffee table and take the opportunity to educate people. Most people don't realize the importance of dandelions- they may very well opt not to kill off this important baby bee food source!

• Piece is about 8 inches tall and 4 inches wide. It sits on a 3 inch styrofoam ball in a terra cotta pot.
• Each leaf and petal is cut by hand from soft premium merino wool blend felt. It is durable and resistant to piling. Each piece has bright, solid colors and the perfect thickness to make beautiful decor for years to come.
• All pieces in the zero-waste floral collection are made with entirely wool felt. We do not mix felt flowers with mass produced polyester/silk blend greenery. And since we do not use a machine to mass produce cuts, your piece is guaranteed one-of-a-kind!
